In his sophomore year, Mark tried out and earned on a spot on the roster with the division II Bethel-Brookfield high school ice hockey team. Although he suited up for all games, he rarely saw any time on the ice. His Junior year, Mark worked his way up to a spot on the second line and finished the season as the teams most improved player. Mark captained the team his Senior year, and led his team to the Southwest Conference tournament Championship game as well as an appearance in the CIAC state tournament (but lost in the first round). Mark finished his high school career with 58 points (35 goals and 23 assists) in 45 games player, and went 2nd team All-State his senior year in 2005.

After college, Mark continued playing in Mens leagues at the rink in his hometown of Danbury, CT as well as New York City.
In the summer of 2010, Mark took on a job opportunity that brought him to Bar Harbor, Maine. However, he assures his teammates that his career with the Wizards isn't over yet. He looks forward to returning home for the holidays and hopefully get some opportunities to come down to Sky Rink for a game or two.
